Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an organised and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant. This position is essential to ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day HR operations.
The HR Assistant will handle a variety of tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, employee records, compliance, and internal communication.
This role works across all of Crossway's Groups, such LifeCare, preschool and the COACH network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources and Compliance Lead
- Assist with recruitment, job postings, and interview coordination
- Facilitate onboarding processes and new hire orientation
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
- Help ensure compliance with employment laws and church policies
- Support staff communication regarding HR matters with clarity and grace
- Assist with benefits coordination, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives
- Uphold confidentiality and Christian character in all duties
Qualifications
- Prior experience in administrative or HR support roles (preferred)
- Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic HR systems
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- A team player with a servant’s heart and a positive attitude
To thrive in this role you will bring:
- Experience with HRIS systems (preferred)
- Previous experience in HR administration (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, organisational, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment

- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling employee records and compliance documentation
- Ability to assist with recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding

- Familiarity with HR policies, labor laws, and regulations (preferred)
- Comfort with confidential and sensitive information, demonstrating discretion and professionalism
