We are partnering with a well-regarded Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisation that provides essential support to people with disabilities, aged care recipients, carers, and their families. With a strong presence across Sydney and a head office in the CBD, they are seeking a Risk & Compliance professional to build and enhance their risk function.
The Role As the Risk & Compliance Manager, you will take ownership of key governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives.
This is a highly visible role where you will collaborate with senior leadership, ensuring best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Risk Management Plan aligned with organisational objectives.
- Oversee governance and compliance, including the development, review, and reform of policies and frameworks.
- Evaluate the current risk system and lead potential upgrades.
- Prepare and present Board reports on risk and compliance matters.
- Play a critical role in Work Health & Safety (WHS), delivering ongoing training to staff.
- Drive quality assurance and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead business continuity planning to enhance organisational resilience.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in Risk & Compliance
- Experience within the NFP or NDIS sector is essential.
- Proven ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with a consultative approach.
- A natural problem solver with business acumen and a proactive mindset.
