About the role: 

C&K Kedron is currently seeking an experienced Assistants to commence soon.

As an Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of a quality care and education program in co-operation with the group leader. You will be required to work on a rotating roaster between the hours of 6:30am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday.

What will C&K require from you as an Assistant? 

• An ability to support, assist and implement a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met.
• Contribute reflections and suggestions for planning and implement programs as directed.
• The ability to guide children's behaviour in a positive way and encourage children to interact with others with care, empathy and respect.
• Work cooperatively, ethically and respectfully with other educators, and support each other's professional development.
• Treat all children with dignity and respect, embracing each child's unique family and background maintaining an environment that is tolerant and respectful of child and family cultures, values and differences.
• Undertake general cleaning tasks to maintain overall cleanliness of the room and service (i.e. sweeping/vacuuming floors, mopping floors, wiping tables, cleaning toilets

Ideal applicants will have: 

• Certificate lll or Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA).
• Up to date First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate/s.
• Paid Blue Card (Or willing to obtain one).
• Prior Assistant experience in a Childcare setting is essential. We are looking for Assistants to work across all age groups in the service.
• Prior experience developing and maintaining open and collaborative relationships with families and the community.
• Effective team player who models professional and ethical behavior.
