About the role

As a Program Facilitator, you will plan, deliver, and evaluate programs that support children and young people with a care experience.

You’ll work face-to-face and online, with occasional regional travel, to ensure young people across Western Australia can access our programs.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Facilitate in-person and online programs and activities for children and young people.
  • Build strong connections with young people through face-to-face engagement, social media, email, and phone communication.
  • Collect and report evaluations from participants to measure program impact.
  • Maintain accurate records in our database, including participation details and returned mail management.
  • Engage with the child protection sector (government, caseworkers, NGOs) to promote membership and program participation.
  • Support Young Consultants in leadership and advocacy opportunities.
  • Assist with general office administration, including data collection, event RSVPs, and mail-outs.

About you

You’re creative, engaging, and passionate about working with children and young people. You thrive in a dynamic environment, love facilitating programs, and are committed to making a positive impact. With strong communication skills and a trauma-informed approach, you’re ready to connect, empower, and inspire young people with a care experience. You have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Science, Event Management, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or a related field, plus at least one year of experience in an NGO.
  • An understanding of trauma-informed practice and the National Child Safe Standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Excellent IT literacy and database management skills.
  • The ability to work respectfully with First Nations communities and within a culturally safe framework.
  • Experience in planning and delivering workshops and events for young people.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
