Join Crazy Ideas College in 2026 as a Casual Facilitator!
Crazy Ideas College (CIC) is passionate about equipping young people with the skills, mindsets, and capacities to innovate, lead, and shape the future. CIC’s impact is growing, and we’re looking to hire in both Melbourne and Sydney for Term 3 and beyond.
- Location: Melbourne and Sydney-based (travel across Australia and New Zealand available)
- Engagement: Casual, ~1-3 days per fortnight during the school term
- Training provided by CIC
- Pay Rate: $33 per hour, plus superannuation and travel allowances.
About the Role
As a CIC Facilitator, you'll be at the heart of delivering transformative experiences for young people across Australia and New Zealand. Our suite of programs ranges from 60-minute tasters to 3-day intensives, and you'll often be leading rooms of up to 150 students across schools, councils, and community settings. This role is as much about preparation and care behind the scenes as it is about energy and presence in the room - you'll be someone who takes pride in both.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high-energy, high-impact workshops in Leadership, Social Innovation, Values & Future Readiness
- Preparing thoroughly for each program - reviewing materials, understanding context, and showing up ready
- Guiding students through the CIC experience and confidently holding the room across varied group sizes and formats
- Managing stakeholders on the ground, including educators, partners, parents, councils, and community members
- Representing CIC as a brand ambassador in every interaction
- Supporting CIC's impact framework by contributing to documentation, reflection, and program quality processes
- Contributing to team development and the continuous improvement of our programs
What We're Looking For
- You love working with people (especially young people) and bring genuine energy and warmth to every room
- You're a confident, engaging public speaker who can hold attention and adapt on the fly
- You're highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the admin skills to back it up
- You're open to feedback and committed to growing as a facilitator
- You're excited by travel and the variety that comes with working across different schools and communities
- You're comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder environments with professionalism and ease
- You have natural leadership instincts and can read a room quickly
- No prior facilitation experience required, but you back yourself in new and dynamic environments
This is a great role for someone looking for a flexible opportunity that fits in with their mix of work, study, or other commitments.

All applicants must have:
- Availability during school terms (preferably available on Monday and Friday's)
