About the Role

The Family Program Team Leader is part of the Services and Programs team. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a small team of Family Program Coordinators. You and your team will deliver high caliber Recreation Programs across the Vic, SA, WA and Tas regions. You will be an innovative thinker and will drive operational excellence and continual improvement. This is a true relationship role, and you will utilise your exceptional people skills to engage with our Camp Quality families, volunteers and other stakeholders.

  • Develop, mentor and lead a small team of Family Program Coordinators
  • Use your events / project management experience to oversee and coordinate a broad portfolio of Recreation Programs
  • Enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders in a diverse and engaging role that allows you to be creative and proactive

Experience and Knowledge

Preferred:

  • Extensive experience in event management, project management, or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience developing and leading a small team.
  • 3+ years' experience event coordination / delivery or project management
  • Experience within a not-for-profit organisation, or working with families
  • Experience recruiting, training, and working with volunteers

Qualifications and Training

  • Qualifications in event management, project management, or similar.

Other requirements for this role:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and successfully coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated empathetic and flexible approach to manage the sensitivities of families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Willingness and ability to take on additional reports to cover periods of leave.
  • A willingness to regularly engage with families within a hospital environment promoting Camp Quality's programs and services.
  • A willingness to be fully vaccinated against various diseases in accordance with hospital policy
  • Current driver's license
  • Some out-of-hours work and inter / intra state travel will be required
  • Current Working with Children Check
