East Maitland Therapy Manager

  • On-site; Full time

A fantastic opportunity exists to join Cerebral Palsy Alliance as the Therapy Manager of our Tuggerah Clinic. The Tuggerah therapy team has a headcount of 11 therapist, including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. An early priority for this role will be to continue building a strong, client focused and supportive team culture, working collaboratively to support our clients goals.

We service clients from across the lifespan from infancy to adulthood - ages 0-65 with CP and similar physical disabilities, whilst also supporting a wide range of other disabilities including intellectual, genetic, and neurodiverse.

Tuggerah is a well-established therapy centre with 5 large therapy rooms, a well equipped casting room and a custom seating workshop, as well as a large outdoor therapy space and play equipment. We have a range of incredible new equipment, including LiteGait trainer, Magic Carpet, Eye-Gaze devices and specialised telepractice equipment. At Tuggerah we also offer school holiday therapy intensive groups, monthly on-site equipment clinics supported by OTs and PTs with equipment suppliers, and our clinicians provide routine services in a range of clinic and community settings outside including client's homes, schools/pre-schools and locations depending on the client's specific goals.

In this role you will be supported by the Regional Manager (to whom the position reports) as well as a network of therapy managers within the Central Coast and Hunter region and the broader CPA therapy network. You will also have access to various modes of leadership training including online courses and face to face sessions facilitated by Regional Managers, internal business partners and external subject matter experts.

The position is an on-site role. There will also be days spent at head office in Allambie (Sydney) once every 2-3 months.

A clinical background will be highly beneficial.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication skills including conveying expectations, providing feedback, and facilitating team discussions, communicating risks and barriers to the Regional Manager
  • Effective engagement with stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and concerns
  • Leading through guidance, motivation and support
  • Ability to translate strategic priorities of the organisation into meaningful actions for your team
  • Problem-Solving: troubleshooting challenges, performing logistical gymnastics and making informed decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Proficient user of IT
  • Commitment to supporting team members to navigate daily challenges as well as their longer-term professional development.
  • An understanding of the complex needs of our clients
