COTA Tasmania (Council on the Ageing) has been the voice of older Tasmanians for 60 years. COTA Tasmania is a well-respected peak body and not-for-profit organisation, that lobbies for the rights and interests of older Tasmanians. COTA Tasmania’s vision is that ageing in Australia is a time of possibility, opportunity, and influence.
Care Finder is a Commonwealth Government funded program commissioned by Primary Health Tasmania. The program aims to connect and engage older people who experience difficulty accessing aged care services. Care Finders provide one-on-one support for older Tasmanians to interact with My Aged Care and access aged care services and other supports in the community. Care Finders are based in each of Tasmania’s three major regions.
COTA Tasmania has been contracted as one of four providers of Care Finder services in Tasmania.
We are recruiting for a Care Finder in our small Burnie office. The Care Finder will:
If you have knowledge and experience of the aged care system; enjoy supporting others; can explain complex systems in a clear way; and want to work in a small (but organised and fun!) team, this could be your new role for 2024.
