Your Opportunity: Lead, Mentor, and Drive Change

As a Senior Financial Counsellor your commitment to consumer rights is essential as you guide a dedicated team of financial counsellors. You will provide invaluable telephone advice and representation assistance through the National Debt Helpline and Webchat. This is your chance to drive change from the frontlines, enhancing the lives of countless individuals.

  • Competitive Compensation: Receive a salary between $106,000 - $117,000 plus 12% superannuation, along with salary sacrifice (up to $15,900).

The successful applicant will: 

  • A minimum of 3 years post Diploma of Financial Counselling experience
  • Hold or be eligible for Accreditation as a Financial Counsellor with the Financial Counselling Association of NSW (FCAN)
  • Hold a current Working with Children’s Check
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high quality financial counselling casework and coordination of service delivery
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and uplift team performance
  • Commit to continuous improvement through supervision, reflective practice, client and colleague feedback, and professional development
  • Sound knowledge of consumer credit protection legislation and frameworks
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively
  • A demonstrated commitment to working in a culturally competent and safe manner
