  • Base Salary: $85,176 - $99,333 (p.a.) pro rata based on hours
  • Total Effective Package: $105,979 - $121,979 (p.a.)*pro rata based on hours
  • Part time, Continuous contract, 22.5 hrs p/w

Be part of a growing team that helps bring together the very best research organisations, Aboriginal Health services and Universities working in Central Australia to work together to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal people. The Communications Coordinator for the Central Australia Academic Health Science Network (CAAHSN) will be an outstanding and dynamic communicator of the important research, research translation and health-impacts being achieved by the network and be responsible for content creation and development of the CAAHSN external communication platforms.

You will actively build the brand of CAAHSN, crafting high-quality and compelling communications through multiple channels, informing the network, health agencies, research institutions, funding bodies and the public at large of the Network’s impact. You will be also drive member engagement by providing communications advice and support for Network events.

You will have:

  • Diploma in marketing, communications, science communication, public health, or equivalent experience in a corporate or not-for profit
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement though the use of integrated marketing communications, including PR, print and traditional media, digital and social media channels, and events
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing events for various audience groups, ranging from small engagement activities to larger scale activities with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in working with complex or technical information to create a range of high quality and engaging content, including written, audio and video, from draft to production. Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to achieve results; showing flexibility, respect and resilience
  • Demonstrated team player, with capacity and desire to work flexibility, to pitch in and at pace
