The Communications Officer will promote the work of Concern Australia by providing copy-writing and administrative support to the CEO and managers. This role is a liaison with and between internal staff, young people, and designers, videographers and the like, as needed for content creation on our social media channels and websites. Under the supervision and direction of the CEO, the Communications Officer will support the development of written promotional materials such as flyers, posters, reports etc., and grant applications.
Administration is also a key component of this role which includes but is not limited to the maintenance of donor databases and communications, grants databases and client management systems. This role will also facilitate engagement with potential and existing volunteers, faith/community supporters, philanthropists and other key external stakeholders.
Some small-scale events management is required with tasks such as venue set up, catering and printing materials.
This position is classified and remunerated at Level 3 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Modern award MA000100. It is a hybrid role, working from home with some travel requirements to both our offices and other off-site locations. Our offices are in Sunshine West and Dandenong, where you will have the ability to choose either office as your base location.
