Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MS) is a Not for Profit organisation, and a leading source of information, advice and services for individuals living with multiple sclerosis. The main focus of the organisation is to help minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis on individual lives and provide ongoing support to ensure their journey is not undertaken alone.
We are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to take on this rewarding and inspiring role covering Blackburn and surrounding areas from the office based in Blackburn (with an option to work from Footscray). The main purpose of this role is to work with participants who have an NDIS package and assist them to pursue their goals, objectives and aspirations. You will be required to provide a range of specialist clinical services to support participants with disabilities to meet their identified needs.
Working with a caseload of individuals you will be responsible for increasing or maintaining individual’s independence including social participation and assist in building their capacity to actively take part in the community.
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has:
You will be Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with an appropriate registration body, e.g. AHPRA. As this position will require you to travel, you will need to have a current valid Driver Licence and personal vehicle for use – you will be reimbursed for any travel expenses.
This is a full-time permanent position and is offering an hourly rate commensurate on your level of experience + Super + Salary Packaging options up to $18,550 per annum. It should be noted that there is an option for this position to be part-time if this is a preference.
Please note: The appointed candidate must successfully complete a National Police Check (possibly an International Police Check), a Working with Children Check and a Disability Workers Exclusion Scheme check prior to the commencement of employment.
