Community Services #1 (CS#1) is seeking a highly credentialed Aged Care Services Executive Director with specialist expertise and track record of successful program service delivery within the Aged Care Sector. The successful applicant will thoroughly review CS#1’s existing Aged Care Services and benchmark these against other service providers at a time of significant change and opportunity within the aged care sector. The successful applicant will inform how CS#1 can ensure its aged care services are high quality and meet Aged Care Quality Standards, and that the services are financially sustainable and supported by an appropriately skilled workforce and required operational support infrastructure.

About the role:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director of Aged Care Service has two overarching priorities:

• Leadership and Management of CS#1 Aged Care Services Program and Workforce to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality aged care services in a cost-effective, accountable, and time-efficient manner.

• Preparation and implementation of an Aged Care Services Business and Workforce Plan identifying opportunities for service delivery improvement and growth and ensuring CS#1 effectively anticipates and is well prepared to accommodate Aged Care Reform requirements.

To be successful in this role:

To be successful in the Executive Director of Aged Care Services role, you will have a strong record of achievement within the Aged Care Services Sector with extensive leadership and management of Aged Care Services Programs. You will also have a strong understanding of the Aged Care Reforms requirements and associated Aged Care Service delivery challenges and opportunities.

You will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role

• National Police Check
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
• Working with Children Check

• Current driver licence and car

• High level and extensive strategic leadership and change management success with large scale change management and service development
• Demonstrated experience managing in a complex client service environment with a focus on risk management, regulatory compliance, and best practice service delivery
• High level stakeholder management and business acumen
• Record of achievement in leading and managing large diverse teams including workforce planning, succession management, supervision, engagement, performance management, coaching and mentoring
• Ability to write effective business and risk management plans, reports, tenders, and submissions.

Executive Director of Aged Care Services rewards:

• Fixed-term full-time position (76 hours/fortnight), based in Narrabundah, with travel across the ACT and within the Riverina and Southern NSW. The term end date is 28 June 2024 with the possibility of extension
