We are seeking to employ a Communications and Marketing Specialist who supports our communications and marketing strategy through the development of great content, and the successful execution of marcomms campaigns that promote our purpose, products and services and that connect with our people, partners and stakeholders. There is some requirement to travel that may include interstate and overnight stays. You could be based anywhere between the Mid-North NSW Coast, the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Wollongong regions due to flexibility of working from both home and the office.

Community Resources is a national Not-for-Profit organisation that operates some of the largest social and community enterprises across Australia. Last year we employed 684 people, 77% of them experiencing barriers to employment.

We keep waste out of landfill, we grow and distribute fair food, and we provide community service to those who need it most.

We run three environmental repair social enterprises – Green Connect, Soft Landing and Resource Recovery Australia – and a range of community services.

About You

Adept at independently creating engaging content for different channels and audiences with the ability to identify, research and tell compelling stories.

You reach your audience and outcomes of the communication and marketing strategies.

Strong curiosity and understanding about the media landscape in Australia, and the latest developments in communications and marketing.

Go-getter to identify new communications and marketing opportunities.

Positively lead projects and work to a plan and know when to seek help and guidance.

Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work in a multifaceted environment.

A genuine commitment to people and the planet through employment and community development.

It would be good if you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or marketing
  • Highly developed digital marketing skills (paid, organic and SEO)
  • Both not-for-profit and commercial experience

The position is full-time, with the option of working flexibly between the office and home, with occasional travel.
