The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the innovative Communicare Breathing Space program.
The Intake and Assessment Officer will undertake specialist Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) assessments and ensure a high quality of reporting within the program. This position will work closely with the Coordinator Men's Behaviour Change to oversee the referral and assessment process and focus on daily collaboration with other team members to ensure the safety of women and children who are impacted FDV. This role will also provide support to co-facilitate men's behaviour change programs sessions when required to support the service.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A 3-year tertiary qualification in the human services field, and or significant experience in the family and domestic violence.
  • An unrestricted drivers' licence
  • A satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
  • A current working with children check card
  • A Current senior first aid certificate

Before an offer of employment can be made, Communicare requires a National Police Clearance, not older than 6 months, and a Working with Children Check, where relevant, to be submitted.
