We are seeking expressions of interest for Customer Service Assistants to join our team!

Our Customer Service Assistants are responsible for providing a professional and welcoming entry point for Communicare clients, visitors, and staff. This includes providing excellent customer service to people who make contact via phone, email, or face to face in addition to maintaining the reception and surrounding areas to a clean and safe standard in line with Communicare Child Safe, Trauma Informed and White Ribbon principles.

The Customer Service Assistant is also responsible for daily administrative duties that contribute to the efficient and smooth running of the organisation, including support to the wider Communicare community that includes well stocked supplies and resources, timely booking of travel, catering, and other requirements. In addition, this position provides induction, onboarding, training, and mentoring of current and new receptionists and support and guidance for record keeping in line with Communicare’s business requirements.

The Customer Service Assistant is part of the Emergency Response team and acts as Deputy Fire Warden to support the Fire Warden in emergency situations.

The role provides administrative services and customer services to ensure that all stakeholders receive a professional, safe, and friendly experience with Communicare.

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Welcome and greet visitors via face to face and phone respectfully and consistently, prioritising client needs.
  • Visitor safety and building security maintained with check in procedures completed for all visitors.
  • Maintain and update employee and program information used for directing client enquiries including sourcing changes from programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support Customer service and accurate distribution of information and messages to relevant people.
  • Check and respond to emails and voicemail messages in a timely manner.
  • Interactions with stakeholders and clients align with Communicare Values and include White Ribbon, Child Safe and Trauma Informed practices.
  • Ensure relevant signs and documentation are visible in line with the organisation’s response to COVID or future emergency requirements.
