The primary purpose of this position is to inspire and guide a high performing team in addressing affordable housing issues, while efficiently executing the five core objectives outlined in the Affordable Housing Strategy. Additionally, this role will focus on enhancing the City of Melbourne’s internal capabilities, advocating with key stakeholders, and effectively identifying opportunities to bolster the availability of affordable housing throughout the municipality.
The role requires a sound understanding of City of Melbourne’s important stakeholder relationships and the ability to influence those relationships to achieve positive outcomes. Your adaptability will be well regarded, as this is a dynamic position within a small hard-working team.
The team will deliver Council’s endorsed Affordable Housing Strategy, connect housing experts and agencies, enable innovative housing delivery through collaboration and lead a creative and visible program to reduce homelessness in the city and ensure key workers have access to safe, secure, sustainable and high quality homes in the City of Melbourne
