About the role
This position sits within the AOD Cluster. This position will predominately perform intake responsibilities with the AOD Treatment Services Team. The role will also undertake Comprehensive AOD Assessments and provide interventions for individuals experiencing issues relating to alcohol and other drugs, and mental health within the Care and Recovery Coordination Guidelines.

Your duties
- Completing Comprehensive AOD Assessments with clients using the Victorian AOD Comprehensive Assessment Tool in appropriate timeframes
- Providing recovery-oriented, evidence-based, and therapeutic brief intervention support to individuals
- Providing priority access for ‘complex' clients and those transitioning to and from bed-based services
- Providing information to clients and cohealth staff about appropriate referral and treatment option
- Liaising with the team regarding care planning, referrals, and approaches for crisis intervention management for complex and challenging clients
- Utilising the Penelope Portal - to receive and provide information regarding client referrals

Our ideal candidate
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work or Nursing with a minimum two years' experience working in the AOD sector
- Proof of qualification to be sighted
- Proven skills in the application of intake, assessment, case coordination, and the development of individual treatment plans
- Ability to prioritise workloads and complete Comprehensive AOD Assessments with clients and undertake care and recovery coordination
All Healthcare workers in Victoria are required to have received three doses of COVID-19 vaccination. Proof will need to be sighted during the recruitment process.
