In line with the Royal Commission's recommendations, Victorian Government has decided to establish 50 - 60 local mental health and well-being services. For this purpose, The Victorian government has championed cohealth to lead the development of the Brimbank Mental Health and Wellbeing Local.
The design, development and delivery of this service will be collaborative, and community focused. Along with partner organisations Clarity Health Care and the University of Melbourne, cohealth will be walking hand in hand with the community, local health providers, coworkers and people with lived experience of mental health to bring this service to life.

About the role
Leading the development of Brimbank Local, cohealth is at the forefront of a once-in-a generation change in how mental health support is delivered in Victoria.
The Senior Occupational Therapist completes a holistic assessment to determine appropriate therapeutic options including but not limited to new skill development or retraining, activity adaption, home or environmental modifications, and trial and prescription of equipment.

Your duties include:
- Provide orientation and clinical supervision to occupational therapists
- Provide a welcoming environment where the consumers are able to inquire and learn about a range of health-related matters and engage in self-management.
- Oversee the maintenance and administration of a high-quality occupational therapy services at Brimbank
- Work flexibly with vulnerable groups including CALD, and/or people experiencing mental illness or homelessness.
- Support intake and walk-in functions of the service
- Commitment to the values and objectives and values of cohealth

Our ideal candidate:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Proof of qualification to be sighted
- Greater than five years of experience in occupational therapy clinical practice
- Experience in supervising junior staff and students
- Experience in working with dual diagnosis and complex presentations
