At Uber Carshare, we’re on a mission to free the world from the ‘one person, one car’ mentality. Our platform and technology make it easy to turn any car into a shared car, empowering people to save money, reduce waste and fight climate change. Since 2012, we’ve grown our community to more than 8,000 cars being shared and made over 1.1 million bookings. Our acquisition by Uber in early 2022 and rebrand from Car Next Door to Uber Carshare last November has created an amazing opportunity for us to combine our car-sharing community with Uber’s mobility platform, providing a complete alternative to car ownership.
