Centre for Multicultural Youth

About CMY

The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Our vision is that young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds are connected, empowered and influential Australians.

CMY’s Policy Team undertakes significant research and consultation with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds and the sector to inform policy and advocacy at local, state and national levels. We form strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders and researchers to advance the issues of young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, providing advice in a range of contexts in order to inform and influence policy development. Through our work we also link decision makers and researchers directly with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, supporting youth participation in policy and advocacy.
