CMY is a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Our vision is that young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds are connected, empowered and influential Australians.

About the Role

CMSport is a new CMY business unit that brings together our extensive experience and resources as a specialist platform to support the sports sector in improving their awareness, understanding and capability to support cultural inclusion in sport organisations.

This exciting new position will work closely with the CMSport Manager and assist the sport sector to improve inclusion through the delivery of a range of activities including consultation projects, industry research, delivery of training, facilitation of forums, development of resources/tools and advocacy for the equitable access to sport for people from multicultural backgrounds.

  • Hours: 30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE), Part Time.
  • Fixed Term: until 30 June 2023.
  • Base Salary (SCHADS Level 4) : $77,577.76 per annum plus Super and access to Salary Packaging.
  • Interviews: to be held the week following closing date.

You will have (KSC)

  • Experience in working effectively with migrant and refugee communities.
  • Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating program activities.
  • Interest in the development of stakeholder relationships in the sports and community sector.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to collaborate effectively across the sport and multicultural sectors.
  • Proficient organisational skills, with a capacity to be flexible and show initiative in a work setting.
