Cloud 9 Youth Services is currently looking for male/female Disability workers to work with young people living with Autism and Psychosocial issues (Anxiety, ADHD etc.). Clients will be within the NDIS. You will have individual clients with each young person to be different from one another.

The job is community access based and requires you to fulfil duties such as attending appointments, assisting with house duties, social activity engagement, developing important life skills and decision making, encouraging young people to build relationships with family and peers, taking them out to places that they enjoy, grocery shopping, budgeting, monitoring their behaviours and supporting them through difficult times, and working with different stakeholders to achieve realistic results. Each young person will be matched with the right support worker.

Essential skills and requirements (or willing to obtain) :

• Experience working with young people with different behaviours (Highly Desirable)
• Experience with working with people living with disabilities (Highly Desirable)
• Cert/Diploma of Disability, Youth work, Individual Support or any relevant qualifications
• Paid Blue Card
• Current National Police Check
• Disability worker screening (or Yellow Card)
• Child safety background screening check (LCS2)
• Valid Drivers License with registered vehicle and full comprehensive insurance
• First Aid and CPR
• Valid references
