For 38 years Clota Cottage in Box Hill has provided low cost, quality and inclusive programs to support community well-being. We deliver Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) pre-accredited training, as well as Fee for Service classes and a range of community activities. Our aim is to provide a welcoming place with opportunities for community participation and socialisation.

THE ROLE

The Programs Coordinator designs, develops and coordinates a comprehensive schedule of community centred programs and activities. Use your understanding of community development and/or adult education to create, promote and deliver activities for our diverse community. You will work directly with participants, tutors, volunteers and other stakeholders including service providers and funding bodies.

• A passion for developing and organising wellbeing, social and adult education programs that promote inclusivity, diversity and socialisation
• Confidence to develop connections with community members, service providers, partners and other stakeholders
• Experience marketing and promoting activities that engage community members
• Strong communication, IT and organisational skills

ESSENTIAL Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Adult Education or a related field. Experience in a similar role in a Neighbourhood House would be an advantage but not essential
• Current Police Check and Working with Children Check
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working rights

• Part-time role, working within 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, however some outside hours may be required on occasions.
• SCHADS Level 4-5, dependent on experience and qualifications
