About the Role

As a technical subject matter expert in solar and battery systems, you will share your expertise with our members by:

  • providing ‘ hands-on’ technical advice to CEC members and our Accredited people in line with the Australian standards
  • developing technical reference and advisory content aimed at lifting the level of industry knowledge and installation compliance.
  • speaking at industry professional development events.
  • assisting in the development of new service offerings for accredited installers/designers & CEC members.
  • assisting in the development of newsletters, training materials, announcements, marketing and technical materials and reports that are technically accurate and up to date.
  • assessing practical assessments and compliance cases according to Australian Standards, installation guidelines and other state and national regulations.

About You

You will be a qualified electrician with CEC Accreditation for PV design and or installation of Grid-connected PV. Ideal candidates will also hold Accreditation for Grid connect battery systems and Stand Alone Power Systems.

Additionally, you will have:

  • comprehensive knowledge of relevant standards relating to the design and installation of PV and battery systems.
  • experience designing and/or installing PV and battery systems
  • experience communicating highly technical information both verbally and in writing.
  • strong computer skills - Microsoft Office suite of packages, especially Excel
  • excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • high attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills, ability to problem solve, and to prioritise multiple and competing priorities to meet deadlines.

Desirable

  • Stand-alone Power System (SPS) Accreditation
  • Grid Connect Battery Storage (GCBS) Accreditation
  • Business development experience
  • Experience in utility-scale renewable energy design/installation
