Customer Service / Administration

Civil Pest Management

Civil Pest Management is an ethically focused family company that provides specialist pest management services both in the commercial and domestic sectors. We are not your normal run-of-the-mill pest company and our unique service offerings have made the company highly sought-after, particularly by the hospitality industry.

We are seeking an administrator to join our growing business on a casual / part-time basis, 3 days per week (with a potential to increase to 5 days full-time in the future). The role effectively entails the operational coordination of the back-office nerve centre of the business. Duties include client bookings and job scheduling; maintaining customer databases; managing technicians’ work calendars; invoicing; preparing quotations; compilation and distribution of client reports; supplier liaison and customer service.

The role provides the critical administration support required for the smooth running of the technicians’ services in the field and, as such, we are looking for someone with exceptional customer service/communication skills, a level of self-confidence and resourcefulness to be able to work independently and solve issues as they emerge from time to time, e.g. clashes of schedule due to last minute changes, or job overruns, etc. Other required skills include a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Outlook Email and Calendar. A knowledge of Xero (for invoicing) would be an advantage but not essential.

How we help the Environment:

Bee Rescue:

  • We are trained and licensed beekeepers (apiarists) with over 2M bees under our care.
  • Unlike other pest companies in the industry, we actually rescue bees from inside cavity walls, inside tree trunks and capture swarms.
  • We have bee hives on NSW South Eastern Health (Govt) land, as part of building bee populations and help with pollination of natural environment.
  • We do not charge any fees for this and bee swarms are donated to amateur beekeepers to help them get started and in-turn the environment.

Sustainable Pest Management – Helping the Environment:

  • We provide non-chemical solutions to managing pest issues.
  • Our chemical footprint within the industry is ‘extremely’ low as compared to other pest management organisations.
  • For example, we do not apply liquid chemical spray on plants/flowers etc – due to bees collecting pollen.
  • We use products that are non-hazardous to the environment and to human health.
  • In relation to our termite management work, we only use termite baits that are non-toxic to wildlife and humans.
  • We purchase products from suppliers such as Ensystex / Exterra who have partnered with conservation organisations, who in-turn price their products to include donations to Australian Wildlife
