Join our Access & Ageing Well Unit within the Ageing, Equity and Community Development Branch.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable leader to support our whole of organisation approaches to improving ageing well outcomes for our community.
A key driver is to strategically embed ageing well and inclusionary practices to deliver sustainable outcomes for the community.
In this role, you will be part of a small team responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of action plans in line with Council’s Plan and Ageing Well Policy. This will include leading and evaluating projects, initiating new actions in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and managing programs in partnership with community agencies. You will also coordinate Council’s Active Ageing Advisory Committee and engage older people in influencing decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent leadership skills and a track record in developing and evaluating projects and programs. You will have excellent relationship building and networking skills, and the ability to develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have demonstrated experience in social research, community development and project management skills. Your understanding of contemporary social policy, social inclusion, and ageing well issues will position you well to resource and communicate for the needs of the community on behalf of the organisation.
