The City is seeking to employ a bilingual Community Services Worker in the City Spaces Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team providing high quality community programs and services.

You will actively provide and facilitate a range of recreational and social support services for the local City of Sydney community. In particular, you will facilitate programs that respond to priority needs of the City of Sydney community and which achieve outcomes set out in the City's Social Sustainability Policy and Action Plan.

You will have a degree in Social Sciences or other relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience in a related field. You will also have the ability to speak fluent Cantonese and/or Mandarin, with a competent level of reading and writing in Chinese.

You will have excellent customer service skills and experience in delivering community programs, along with an understanding of community development issues. You will be proficient in the management of volunteers and will also have experience in event or project management, including planning, implementation and evaluation with excellent organisational, written and communication skills.
