City East Community College Inc. is a not-for-profit adult and community education service provider that has been operating in Sydney since 1952. We provide a place for all members of the community to learn more. We operate RTO 90269 to deliver training within the VET framework.

We deliver quality, personalised training experiences in all delivery modes (online, blended and face to face) at various locations around Sydney including Bondi Junction, Auburn, Cabramatta, Fairfield, Redfern, Newtown and Mascot.

We’re looking for an experienced RTO Business Development Officer.

What you will do:

• You will work with the RTO team to develop and execute sales plans and targets that map to the needs of the communities we serve
• You will work with the RTO team to develop and execute sales plans that align with the funding lines we utilise
• You will nurture and convert current client relationships to maintain existing enrolment numbers
• You will develop additional relationships to increase enrolments

What you will need:

• A strong and current understanding of sales and marketing in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector
• An understanding of VET student pathways across a range of funding lines particularly ACE and Smart & Skilled
• A strong understanding of compliance standards within the VET framework
• Demonstrated tactical sales skills including inbound and outbound calls, e-marketing, presentation and face to face stakeholder engagement
• Demonstrated experience in business development in a similar environment
• Strong business acumen able to translate ideas into increased enrolments
• The ability to work independently to achieve targeted enrolment numbers per year

Highly desirable:

• Sound working knowledge of M365 and Teams
• Sound working knowledge of MailChimp
• Ability to work within diverse community sectors and support the education service needs of a wide range of businesses and stakeholders
