Circle Green Community Legal (Circle Green) is a not-for-profit community legal centre providing state-wide specialist legal services in employment, workplace discrimination, residential tenancy law, family and domestic violence, and humanitarian services. We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to help in the client intake and triage process of the Humanitarian stream at Circle Green.
The Humanitarian stream assists with a wide range of issues in specialist immigration, protection visas, family and domestic violence and family reunion. We also deliver community legal education and other services such as providing professional development for lawyers, graduate law students or other internship placements across a variety of disciplines.
We help people new to Australia from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds, including humanitarian visa holders, asylum seekers, refugees and people who are otherwise disadvantaged in their access to legal services.
Working as part of the Humanitarian stream and reporting to the Project Manager, The Legal Administrative Assistant will deliver high quality administration and intake and triage support. It is essential that you have a client centred approach and a commitment to ensuring vulnerable clients are provided with effective, trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and efficient support with their legal issues.
We are seeking candidates with strong customer service and client management experience. Candidates that have completed (or working towards) a Diploma of Legal Services are highly regarded.
