Are you an organised and community-minded professional who enjoys supporting grassroots organisations?
CHNS supports 72 Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres across South East Melbourne and the Bayside Peninsula. We’re looking for a collaborative and proactive Network Coordinator to support governance, training, and communication across the Network—and help strengthen local communities.
Your role will include:
- Supporting member Houses with governance, administration, and compliance
- Facilitating and coordinating training, workshops, and networking events
- Maintaining communication tools including the CHNS website, social media, and e-Bulletins
- Preparing reports, grant applications, and updates aligned with operational plans
- Providing resources and timely support to Centre Managers and Committees
- Attending meetings and events across the region, building sector connections
About you:
- Experience in the community or Neighbourhood House sector
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confident working both independently and as part of a small team
- Comfortable supporting community-based governance and reporting requirements
Essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Development or a related field, or relevant experience in a community-based or Neighbourhood House role
- Current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working rights
