THE ROLE
This role will act as a dedicated point of contact for state-based events and communications in WA, SA, ACT, TAS and VIC, also providing support on other CEW flagship events. This role works in close collaboration with team members and stakeholders, including CEW members. It requires excellent attention to detail and delivery. This is a dynamic role that will provide an events professional experience across a range of high-profile event formats. This is an initially a 12 month contract role, with the possibility to extend.
General Administration:
- Calendar management.
- Co-management of the events inbox and phone line.
- Co-management of ticketing platform Humanitix.
- Ensure all CEW events accurately reflect the CEW brand guidelines.
- Administrative support of state-based Chapter Committee meetings including management of calendar invitations, agendas, and minutes.
- Member event delivery, with a focus on state-based events in capital cities around Australia.
- Co-manage the events landing page on the CEW website.
State-based Events (travel required occasionally):
- Act as first point of contact for all state-based events and liaise with State Chapter Chairs on requirements and planning, grounded in purpose to meet agreed objectives.
- Implement event plans, including identifying and booking venues, venue liaison, production and distribution of event materials and other areas.
- Event delivery, including managing all event registration, ticketing experience, food and beverage.
- Event preparation, including event briefs, proposals and run orders.
- Work with the Events Manager to support the execution of CEW Annual Dinners and the CEW Summit.
- Contribute to budget management by sourcing cost effective suppliers and having awareness of expenditure on projects.
Member Communications:
- Manage event eDMs including calendar management of event eDMs, copywriting, eDM build, testing, and scheduling.
- Member communications support, with a focus on eDM layout and distribution for CEW events and member communications.
Required experience and personal characteristics:
- Hands on, energetic team player.
- Strong communication skills, written and visual.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- 1-3 years of events expertise.
- Natural collaborator and relationship builder.
- Strong customer service orientation, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable using a range of digital tools including Hubspot (CRM and Marketing tool), Monday.com, Humanitix.
