ABOUT THE ROLE
The Research and Data Analyst reports to the Research Manager. This role can be based in either Melbourne or Canberra, with hybrid working arrangements available. The role may involve some occasional interstate travel.
You will:
- provide support across CHF with research design and with quantitative and qualitative data collection
- support Human Research Ethics Committee applications and reporting
- undertake analysis to assess data quality and meaning, including extraction, data cleaning and joining data
- understand data sources and undertake organisation-wide reporting requirements
- translate complex data into accessible, clear and plain language reports
- prepare high level correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs, that are aligned with contractual requirements, including responding to Departmental requests as required
- assist with consultations with key stakeholders and health consumer networks on health policy issues
- liaise with stakeholders, members and consumer representatives through public presentations, participating in meetings, workshops and conferences
- work collaboratively with the CHF team
ABOUT YOU
You should have:
- commitment to achieving and upholding the CHF vision, mission and values
- tertiary qualifications in Health, Social Sciences or related areas (ideally at post graduate level).
- knowledge of and experience in using a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity/experience with at least one statistics package (e.g R or SPSS)
- proven experience in data collection, retrieval, cleaning & reporting
- experience in creating and maintaining databases
- ability to synthesise, analyse and describe insights from data
- good interpersonal skills including demonstrated capacity to liaise with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
- well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, Acrobat (PDF) and project management software.
