ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager, Communications reports to the Director, Advocacy and Engagement. This role can be based in either Melbourne or Canberra, with hybrid working arrangements available. The role may involve some occasional interstate travel.

You will lead the development of strategic communication initiatives that amplify CHF’s reputation, deepens engagement with members and stakeholders, and support advocacy objectives.

The role focuses on strategic storytelling, brand positioning, communications and marketing, campaign design, internal communications, and the continuous improvement of CHF’s digital and traditional channels.

ABOUT YOU

You should have:

  • Commitment to achieving and upholding the CHF vision, mission and values.
  • Extensive experience in strategic communications, brand management or marketing roles with tertiary qualifications in either Communications, Marketing or Public Relations.
  • Demonstrated success leading communications and marketing projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Outstanding written, visual and digital content development skills across multiple channels.
  • Strong experience in storytelling, particularly ethical collection and use of personal narratives.
  • Proven ability to build and grow audience engagement through strategic communications and digital marketing.
  • High digital literacy, including CMS platforms, social media management tools, EDM platforms and analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects to deadline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and Acrobat (PDF).

Note: You must have the right to work in Australia and demonstrate the absence of a relevant criminal history to be appointed. A current Working with Children’s check and/or Working with Vulnerable People check is also required. This role is offered on a full-time, two years fixed term basis.
