About the Media & Communications Team

The Media & Communications team is responsible for managing media, communications, the Centre’s website, social media, design, campaigns and advocacy. This role reports to the Strategic Communications, Engagement and Advocacy Manager.

Position Summary

The Website Coordinator plays a key role within the Communications team, responsible for managing the day-to-day functionality, performance, and user experience of the Centre’s websites.

This role leads the design and development of the Centre’s and program websites, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure high-quality, on-brand outputs.

The position will oversee strategic initiatives such as website redesigns, migrations, and content enhancements, using data-driven insights and SEO best practices to optimise digital presence.

Additionally, the role contributes to the integration of web performance with the organisation’s CRM and marketing systems, supporting lead generation and enhancing the overall customer experience.

This position requires strong collaboration and communication skills, technical acumen, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

Working closely with the communications team, this position will:

  • Own and manage the day-to-day functionality, performance and user experience of the Centre’s websites.
  • Design and develop visually impactful assets for print and digital channels, including social media, email, display ads, presentations, and event collateral. Liaising with internal stakeholders and external print production organisations.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and provide insight-led recommendations to continually improve and enhance the website.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to scope and deliver content and website feature development from ideation through to launch
  • Lead and manage website migration, consolidation and redesign initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for ongoing website optimisation aligned with business priorities.
  • Apply SEO best practices, from keyword optimisation to technical enhancements and new content creation.
  • Understand how web performance integrates with our CRM and marketing tech stack to influence lead flow and the broader customer experience.

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in graphic design, website development or equivalent, and/or proven experience.
  • Proven experience in creating, editing, optimising, and monitoring WordPress websites.
  • A solid understanding of Cpanel, hosting, DNS and server management.
  • Strong Graphic Design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and knowledge of the Canva Teams platform.
  • Previous experience independently managing website projects.
  • Strong UX skills are desirable, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences and testing for continuous improvement.
  • The ability and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with NFPs or community organisations is a bonus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a website designer, developer or website management
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to new technology and working methods.
