About the Role

We are seeking a Family Support Worker to join our Remote Area Integrated Family Support Service Program in Cloncurry which is a specialised counselling and support program with a key focus on early intervention.

In this role you will:

• Provide practical, in-home family support services to children, young people and their families who are vulnerable and are at risk of entering or re/entering the child protection system.
• Actively contribute to the planning and provision of community education and support
• Complete assessment of family’s needs through engagement and consultation with the family

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated ability to impart knowledge and skills using a range of theoretical frameworks
• Relevant qualifications in human services, early childhood, community work or youth work
• Drivers licence is essential
• Ability to obtain a Yellow and Blue Card
