Are you a skilled bike mechanic who enjoys sharing your knowledge? Want to make a hands-on difference in your community? Join us at The Recyclery, Canberra Environment Centre’s Community Bike Repair Shed, and help build bike repair skills and confidence across our community.
We’re looking for a friendly, organised and capable project officer to run Bicycle Repair Training. You will work with our team to coordinate and deliver bike repair workshops as part of a new ACT Government–funded program. You’ll run engaging, beginner-friendly sessions covering the basics of bike maintenance – from fixing flat tyres to brake and gear adjustments – and support volunteers to get involved along the way.
This position covers 5 x Saturday hours (at Saturday pay rate $55.98) and 5 x weekday hours (preferably on Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday) per week. Willingness to work Saturdays essential.
You’ll be part of a values-driven team making a real impact – helping people build skills, reduce waste, and connect through bikes. Flexible hours, a friendly environment, and the chance to shape a new program from the ground up.
