Corinella & District Community Centre is seeking a dynamic new manager; someone driven and passionate and dedicated to further enhancing the opportunities for the local community provided by this busy, vibrant neighbourhood house.

The Community Centre is located in the heart of Corinella but services the surrounding townships of the waterline district, including Coronet Bay, Grantville, Tenby Point, The Gurdies, Pioneer Bay, Jam Jerrup, and Queensferry

We are looking for an innovative and creative person to advance the Centre and to meet the challenges of working within an ever-changing landscape. As the Centre Manager, and reporting to the Centre’s Board of Governance, you will lead the development and management of our well established organisation.

The successful candidate will be required to be hands-on and have highly developed leadership, workflow-management and relationship-building skills; as well as great customer/client-facing abilities and good understanding of the demands of working within a community development framework.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Holds or is completing a relevant tertiary qualification (relevant to community services); or has significant experience working in a similar sector; or has substantial management experience.
  • Has a good understanding of the philosophies underpinning community service organisations.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrated ability to generate organisational growth through programming, grants, sponsorships, special events and donations.
  • Significant experience in building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience in a community-based organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community development principles
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of excellence and inclusive practise.
  • Ability to set and attain clear goals which are aligned to strategic direction.
  • Ability to use initiative and problem-solving to manage conflicting workloads/priorities in a busy office environment.
  • High level computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, financial accounting systems and social media.

POSITION CLASSIFICATION

Neighbourhood Houses and Adult and Community Education (NHACE) Centres Collective Agreement 2018; under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Schedule 3B Level 7 Pay Table.

This is a permanent Part Time Position

The Manager is responsible to an overseeing Board of Governance, for the operation, management and development of the Community Centre and for ensuring that the organisation operates in accordance with the Committee’s strategic decisions, the service agreements with funding bodies and with applicable legislation.
