About the role

The Fundraising, Marketing and Communication (FMC) Group are responsible for ensuring reliable revenue streams are strategically planned and executed each year. The Campaigns and Community Engagement team delivers National and State Peer to Peer Campaigns, Third Party Beneficiaries, Fundraising Events, Community Fundraising and Community Engagement across Queensland.

As the Coordinator, Community Engagement, you are the local face of Cancer Council Queensland (CCQ) within your region, connecting, coaching and supporting volunteers and community fundraisers in their contribution to our exciting campaign profile, such as Relay for Life, Daffodil Day and Team CCQ beneficiary.

This role is permanent full-time (37.5 hours per week) and will require out of hours travel at times to support committee meetings and events.

About you

The Coordinator Community Engagement is a natural go-getter and embodies a ‘supporter first’ (customer first) mindset to build strong mutually beneficial relationships. Your everyday works closely with a diverse community of existing high-value relationships in your region, including community fundraisers, local business, and community groups, and CCQ Fundraising Groups and Branches providing account management and support their fundraising goals. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Essential Skills:

• You know (and can demonstrate) the little things count towards retaining your high valued customers, volunteers and supporters and can demonstrate your previous success
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small regional business unit whilst leading your own charge
• Demonstrated experience in delivering multiple projects with competing timelines
• Demonstrated experience in inspiring, coaching and supporting your team and/or customers to achieve team and individual objectives
• Demonstrated experience in account management and use of CRM systems

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with budgets, targets and KPIs and completing event administration
• Experience in fundraising, campaigns, and community engagement
• Well-rounded skills and experience in volunteer engagement and management
• Experience in leading and liaising with high valued community stakeholders including volunteer groups and event volunteers
