The Service Manager Youth Services will provide strong leadership of operational and program delivery in line with our contracts and frameworks our homeless services and Early Intervention Programs. This role will work closely with the relevant Managers and internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of services. The role will focus on compliance and the delivery of high quality services tailored to addressing needs of vulnerable young people in our community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day to day operations of the program to meet funding body KPIs, Organisational strategic goals and policy requirements whilst supporting the Line Managers.
  2. Lead the ongoing development and implementation of the service model specific for the team and contract to ensure timely, high quality, and accessible services are provided.
  3. Maintain high quality clinical skills through involvement in direct service delivery according to program need.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Extensive knowledge and experience working as an executive manager in the community sector, 5 years plus. Preferable in the Youth Sector.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  3. Demonstrated experience in managing a team or service.
  4. Exceptional leadership and management skills with a focus on securing strategic partnerships, business planning, people, and financial management.
  5. Sound knowledge of legal requirements for young people under 16 years including mandatory reporting and clients in the care of DCJ.
  6. Strong business skills and commercial acumen with the capability to drive business growth including achieving results and targets.
  7. Experience in Strategic Planning and new service or project development.
  8. Demonstrated experience with KPI driven contracts and accountabilities.
