About the role

As the Head of Inclusion Advisory Group (Australia), you will be reporting to the Director of Program Impact. You will be supervising the IAG (Australia) team comprising Principal Advisors, Senior Advisors and Advisors.

As a member of the Program Impact leadership team, you will work collaboratively to deliver CBMA’s strategy to amplify the impact of our work.

This is a new and exciting position responsible for growing our portfolio of advisory work across the development eco-system leveraging our deep technical expertise and strong networks working alongside and informed by the disability movement.

You will:

  • Be accountable for the performance and culture of the Inclusion Advisory Group (Australia) within the Program Impact Department.
  • Provide overall leadership on IAG strategy and priorities.
  • Deliver an effective, efficient, and sustainable operating model for IAG that enables the team to both strengthen and grow its strategic and influential work.
  • Lead business development efforts (with support from relevant members of the wider Program Impact department) to grow and diversify our client base across the development eco-system.
  • Be responsible for team leadership, management, and career development.
  • Foster effective linkages with CBM Australia’s Public Engagement and Capability and Business Performance departments.

About you

As this is a new role in a newly configured Program Impact department. We want someone who can take this opportunity to shape the Program Impact Leadership team.

You will be a passionate leader adept in taking team members on the journey. You have previous experience in developing and sustaining a learning culture.

You will grow and diversify our advisory work across the development eco-system through the delivery of an effective, efficient, and sustainable operating model.

To be considered for this role you will have:​

  • At least 10 years’ international development experience, ideally including with International NGOs and DFAT.
  • Deep knowledge of international development practice and trends.
  • Dynamic, problem solving, business development, program, and project management, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills; written, verbal and in facilitation; with the ability to motivate and develop the skills of others; across different types of development practitioners and different program delivery models.
  • Passion for the mission of CBM Australia and alignment/comfort with being part of a faith-based organisation.
  • Applicants with lived experience of disability will be highly regarded.
