The Organisation

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is a member-based, not-for-profit organisation that champions community broadcasting and plays a vital role in the Australian media landscape.

Community radio services provide a voice for multicultural, First Nations and other underrepresented groups, as well as supporting independent and emerging musicians and communities not adequately serviced by other broadcast media.

The Role

A key role within the CBAA, you will develop appropriate communication materials to enhance CBAA’s and the community radio sector’s brand, visual identity and reputational impact.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall communications framework for the CBAA and drive engagement.
  • Ensure communications aid CBAA strategic objectives, projects, product updates and deliver key messages.
  • Design and deliver communications to members and prospects via CBAA channels, including CBAA website, email marketing, campaigns and social media.
  • Influence and develop successful, strategic relationships across CBAA to align strategic messaging.

Your success profile will include

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in delivering impactful and engaging communications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior proofreading and text editing skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ease in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Commitment to outstanding client service.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Experience within not-for-profit, community-based or membership-based organisations preferred

Hours: This is a full-time position with the option of part-time (0.8 or 0.9) for the right candidate.

Location: Alexandria office in Sydney preferably, or work remotely.

Remuneration: Base salary $70,000 – $80,000 p.a. for full-time (or pro rata for part-time). Salary packaging available.
