ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic partnerships/sponsorship professional to drive sustainable income growth through Partnerships and Philanthropy fundraising for this globally recognised charity.

Working with the Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager and the Executive Director, you will be identifying and classifying prospective corporate partners, working closely with the program and fundraising teams to create compelling pitches, concept notes and grant applications. Using your excellent donor stewardship/account management skills, you will be producing engaging project reports and donor communications. Telling the story of impact is an important part of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the Partnerships and Philanthropy manager to implement corporate and philanthropic partnerships strategy that aligns with the organisation’s new strategic plan.
  • Research and build the corporate pipeline and cultivate relationships using a business development approach.
  • Develop compelling proposals and communications for corporate and major donors that are tailored to their interests and position the work of this incredible charity to scale up the program on women’s leadership in emergencies.

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Passion for women’s rights and gender equality
  • Proven experience working in partnerships/business development or relationship management in either charity or commercial environment
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships and donor/client relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to write compelling proposals and donor reports
  • Proactive problem solver who is entrepreneurial, ambitious and target driven with ability to create innovative partnership opportunities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work cooperatively and flexibly with others, both within and outside the organisation, demonstrating an understanding of effective team working and partnerships
  • Experience in successfully building corporate relationships, working with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent external networking, relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively in a cross cultural and international environment with zero tolerance for racism.
