ROLE

This is a unique opportunity, well suited to a passionate professional relationship fundraiser genuinely interested in contributing to an organisation working on some of the most relevant health issues today, including dementia and mental health.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of the Foundation, the Relationship Manager, Bequests will bring a track record of delivering successful relationship-driven fundraising programs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make their mark in a fundraising position with real growth opportunities, implement and drive the strategy, take ownership and make a real impact!

The role will suit someone looking to build on their solid knowledge of bequests (or other relevant fundraising) with strong relationship skills, confidence in working in independently, meticulous back-office skills and ability to meet targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and manage bequest program strategy, identify, nurture and secure bequests prospects in collaboration with the Deputy Director, managing the bequest pipeline from interested through to intending and confirmed
  • Develop personalised donor stewardship program
  • Develop and oversee delivery of relevant marketing and communications, leverage existing events and communication platforms for new bequest leads and existing bequestors
  • Identify and develop opportunities to generate donations from trusts and foundations
  • Prepare and submit proposals, applications and acquittal reports, maintaining a calendar of trusts and foundations
  • Contribute to preparation of reporting, budgets and revenue forecasts, against KPIs
  • Contribute to the broader philanthropy program assisting with events, proposals and stewardship activities where required.

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Relevant Tertiary degree or equivalent experience in not-for-profit sector
  • Extensive fundraising experience, ideally in bequest development and donor relationship management
  • Preferably significant experience in managing donor stewardship programs.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, project management and financial and administrative skills including database management (NXT or similar).
  • Highly collaborative working style with ability to work independently.
