Heart Research Australia raises funds for innovative heart research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

ROLE

Exciting opportunity for a Digital Communications/Marketing professional responsible for implementing digital engagement activities (with a focus on digital media) across a variety of platforms to support the incredible work of this health/wellness organisation.

Reporting to the Communications and Corporate Manager, the role will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and would suit a dynamic communications/marketing professional who possesses excellent project management, content writing & relationship management skills, to develop and deliver a range of engaging marketing materials (eDMs, web and social media) newsletters and annuals reports and build relationships with potential case studies and influencers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and deliver engaging content for social media, blogs, videos, emails and eNewsletters ensuring they are on brand, consistent and accurate.
  • Develop project schedules for all activities, campaigns and events.
  • Maintain existing web pages and develop new pages, blogs to drive traffic to website.
  • Support the development of key communication assets (Annual report, quarterly board reports, educational videos, patient stories and marketing material).
  • Monitor and respond to comments on digital platforms.
  • Ensure communications are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with PR agency to implement PR strategy for Heart Research Australia.
  • Support the delivery of Community events including REDFEB, including post analysis.
  • Manage Community Fundraising platform.
  • Liaising with designer, ensure approvals have been undertaken and review/edit as appropriate.
  • Execute design and delivery of e-marketing campaigns.
  • Deliver key collateral and ensure wider team are aware of new assets and collateral.
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist in making recommendations and all campaigns.
  • Other administrative duties as required.

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum 1 year experience of marketing/communications
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications desirable (but not essential).
  • Demonstrated skill developing engaging digital content.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and act quickly.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills with ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent copy writing and editorial abilities with strong verbal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship management skills
  • Ability to research stories, conduct interviews and prepare articles for publication.
  • Professional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Results driven.

  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel) with WordPress experience desirable.
  • Self-motivated with ability to use initiative.
