South West Family Services encompasses two programs working with local families; Family Support and Intensive Family Preservation. Family Support helps parents facing difficulties that impact their ability to nurture their children by offering services like parenting programs, referrals to other services, and support with issues like domestic violence, addiction, and isolation. The program focuses on improving parenting practices, strengthening parent-child relationships, and connecting families with local services and supportive social networks. Intensive Family Preservation supports families who are presenting with high levels of child protection risks and referred by Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ). The program provides intensive case management and therapeutic support, working in collaboration with parents to improve the safety and well-being of their children.
