CatholicCare NT is a not-for-profit organisation, providing social services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools, and agencies across the Northern Territory.
The Men's Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) is based in Darwin and Wadeye. The primary purpose of the program is to support the safety of women and children. The evidence-based program supports men to develop and maintain respectful attitudes and behaviours within their family and intimate partner relationships.
The program is delivered in a group setting with individual outreach support where participants are provided with education, strategies, and referrals to other services. CCNT’s MBCP uses an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Theory framework to underpin delivery.
The Team Leader is responsible for the implementation and leadership of the Men’s Behaviour Change Program in order for the program to meet its objectives.
The role also has site responsibilities to ensure the effective, integrated delivery of drug and alcohol counselling, financial wellbeing and capability, children and parenting support and violence prevention, including managing key stakeholder relationships.
This position has a particular focus on leading and mentoring program staff, applying professional knowledge and support whilst providing direct services and managing complex client work.
