About the role:

Our OSHC offers before and after school care as well as vacation care. Located on the grounds of St Brendan’s Lake Munmorah. Our team are fully engaged to help proved a create environment that is fun, warm, caring, and safe for all our children.

This is a permanent part time role (20 hours per week) in the afternoons from 2:30pm to 6pm working Monday to Friday with the ability to pick up extra hours during vacation care time.

You will be paid under the Children's Services Award Level 3 with the ability to partake in the worker retention payment issued to the Child Care Industry.

Your Day-to-Day Will include:

  • Understanding and experience with My Time, Our Place Framework.
  • Taking on the position of the responsible person when required.
  • Assisting the Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate programs.
  • Ensuring a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices.
  • Creating a fun and engaging environment through play experiences.
  • Developing positive and supportive relationships with children and families.
  • Ability to form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues.

About you:

  • Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance
  • Completion of Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk
  • Experience working with school aged children
  • First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting
