About the role

Our St John the Baptist Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built preschool on the grounds of St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School. At our Early Learning Centre we provide a range of activities for children aged between 3 and 5 years of age so that each child can engage in something they are interested in.

We are looking for a Child Care Educator that can understand the needs of a child and create a fun, warm, caring and safe environment.

This role is a permanent role working in the preschool room during school term from 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday and will be on paid leave during the school holidays.

Ideally you will:

• Have an understanding and experience with My Time, Our Place Framework
• Assist the Director/ Teacher to plan, implement and evaluate programs
• Ensure a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices
• Helping with observations and experiences
• Develop positive and supportive relationships with children and families
• Form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues

Requirements:

• Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance
• Completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education

Highly Desirable:

• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting
