About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Branch Manager, Castle's Employment Case Officers provide direct support services to people living with disability (at Castle we refer to our customers as participants) to improve their work readiness. This may include working alongside the participant to:

  • Assess training – We meet the participant where they are at in their employment journey and assist to identify their employment goals. The Case Officer will identify the resources or referral partners needed to progress along the participant journey.
  • Upskilling – We provide and deliver the resources needed to fulfil the participants individual training need.
  • Conducting Barrier Management – Case Officers assist the participant to overcome any hurdles or barriers they may have to employment including assistance with obtaining required training, licences, meeting industry demands and confidence building.
  • Assisting with Placement Support – We continue to provide assistance to our participants to ensure sustainable and fulfilling employment.

Both available positions are Full-Time positions primarily based at our Mayfield or Toronto office, however you may be required to work out of any of our locations from time to time.

Desirable Criteria

  • Certificate IV in Disability Services or Mental Health or Community Services or equivalent knowledge and at least 3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in employment services with an enhanced working knowledge of strategies to address barriers to employment. Case management experience within employment, community or rehabilitation services is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated flexible communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts to deliver customer service
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, databases and business systems with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated personal integrity, professionalism and empathy towards people living with disabilities
  • Ability to assist with building positive working relationships with stakeholders

Essential Criteria

  • NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current unrestricted driver licence or access to transport
  • Willingness to understand and agree with Castle’s Vision, Purpose and Value statements and the ability to apply these values to your own work
